FREE LEGAL HELP
Organizations that give free legal advice or help migrant workers with their cases, in Indonesia, in the countries where many Indonesians work, and in other major countries of origin and destination around the world. Search by country or by the kind of help you need.
If you are in danger now, call the local emergency number or your embassy first. This list is a guide, not legal advice. Call before you visit, because opening hours change.
Want to take a case to a UN or regional human rights body? Use our Legal Clinic.
We check each entry against its source and show the date we checked it. If something is wrong or missing, write to secretariat@theimr.org.

This directory is built for empirical legal scholarship and socio-legal research on migration and the rights of migrant workers, as well as for advocacy.
The coded variables support statistical analysis in law: cross-national comparison, regression and event-history designs, and law and economics questions such as how recruitment fees, wage protection and limits on changing employer affect migrant workers. The data can be downloaded for replication.
